Moved to the big pen...

The puppies are getting so mobile...I moved them into the big pen today. They will start the "litter pan" training process. Here is a 20 second video of them moving around. Gus is to the far right in the beginning of the video.

Communal living

The puppies are going to be 3 weeks old tomorrow. They are starting to play now, and I feel their little teeth starting to come in. I walked by a few minutes ago and Mindy Sue, Mia, and Cricket are all in there along with the puppies.Until the puppies are big enough to try to get out of the pen, I leave the door to it open all the time. That way, Cricket can come and go instead of me lifting her in and out all day long. Mindy Sue (in the leopard print) and Mia are in there with the puppies as much as Cricket is. They are always cleaning them, so this is the cleanest batch of puppies ever! Today was big dog bath day, hence the leopard drying coat on Mindy Sue. Her adult fur is coming in, and it will dry sticking up in all different directions if I don't put the coat on her to make her hair lay down when dry.

Love these dogs

Cavaliers are just so amazing to me. This could never happen with most breeds...Cricket is nursing her babies, and Mindy Sue (she is just 7 months old) went into the pen to check out the babies.

10 days old

Without being here and having a "perspective" on the babies, they really look about the same in this photo as they did in the last one. But really, they have doubled in size! They are sturdy/solid fat babies, and make it known to the world when they think it is time for the milk bar to open. The boy is in the top of the photo.
